Each week has a different theme and plan. Students will engage in many fun crafts, activities, and games. In addition to our week long camps, we will be offering both one-day camps and half-day camps!

Weekly Themes:

Week 1. Asia Week June 17-21

Embark on a captivating journey into the world of Asian Art, where campers will not only unravel the secrets of ancient techniques like ink painting but also delve into the architectural marvels that grace the landscapes of Asia. Immerse yourself in the creative process as you craft vibrant and imaginative creations inspired by the region's rich artistic heritage, turning each moment into a masterpiece of exploration and expression.

Week 2. Africa Week June 24-28

Campers will have the unique opportunity to delve deeper into the rich tapestry of African art, engaging in hands-on activities such as crafting intricate masks, creating vibrant paintings, and experimenting with diverse media, including clay. Unlock the secrets of Africa's mesmerizing color palette, and immerse yourselves in the fascinating history that contributes to the beauty of African art.

Week 3. Claymation Week July 1-3 (No Class on July 4th and 5th)

What is something Coraline, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Wallace and Gromit, Chicken Run, and ParaNorman all have in common? They are all claymation movies! Bring your very own claymation character to life as you create a short film throughout the week. You'll learn about the world of stop motion using our studio iPads! Students will also learn how to story board, create characters with high quality clay, learn about making armature, and paint their own backgrounds. Don't miss this chance to make your own claymation film!

Week 4. Food Week July 8-12

Food is something that brings people together. Whether it be cooking or eating, food is enjoyed and shared by friends, family, and loved ones. Nine Studio is bringing everyone together this week by introducing the art of food! Fasten your seatbelts, because we will be getting a taste of different food cultures and traditions from around the world!  Our young artists will create fun crafts and 11x14 acrylic painting on canvas paintings inspired by food. Rumor has it that your young artist might turn into a young chef as they will be making pasta from scratch at the end of the week. Join us for a fun week dedicated to the art of food!

Week 5. Clay Week July 15-19

Get ready to get your hands dirty because Clay Week is here! Get to experience and play with Laguna air dry clay where it is okay to make a mess! Students will learn different sculpting, building, and smoothing techniques all while sharing laughs and fun times with friends. At the end of the week students will be able to paint their pieces and take them home to share! Students will also be making their own “Salt Dough” from scratch! If you are a fan of 3D artwork, this camp is for you! Make sure to join us this Clay Week for this interactive, hands on experience!

Week 6. Photography Week July 22-26

Photographs are one way we can keep old memories alive. Join us for Photography week to see countless memories, friends, and laughs through the eye of your young artist! Campers will be given a disposable camera that will be developed later in the week. Not only will campers learn how to take photographs, but will understand the science behind it too! Campers will get to learn about exposure and the history of cameras as well. Not everything has to be digital anymore! Let’s ditch photography from iPhones and iPads and experience real film photography this Photography Week!

**Campers signed up for one day camps and half day camps for Photography week will not be able to participate in developing film and do not have to pay the material fee

Week 7. Olympic Week July 29-August 2

Bring home the gold medal this year by attending Olympic week at Nine Studio. Campers will get to explore different countries and learn about their history with sports and the Olympic games. Campers will also get to improve their figuring drawing skills as they paint themselves playing their favorite sport! They will also get to create fun drawings, crafts, and play fun games! Don't miss out on this opportunity to attend the Nine Studio Olympics!

Week 8. Clay Week August 5-9

Week 9. Animal Week August 12-16

Do you have a furry creature at home? A fish? A lizard? Or even an imaginary pet? Calling all animal lovers, join us for animal week as you paint a portrait of your beloved pet. Don’t have a pet, don’t worry! Paint your favorite animal or a pet you wish you had! Not only will we be learning how to paint animal portraits, but campers will participate in fun clay, craft, and drawing projects as well! Can’t wait to see you this summer for a fun Animal Week! The campers will go home with 11x14 acrylic painting on canvas and lots of drawings with 3D crafts.

Week 10. Drawing Workshop August 19-23

Campers will learn how to draw portraits. Each day we will cover one face feature: Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Ears and hairs to finish the portrait. Materials are open to drawing pencils, charcoal pencils, and gel pens. The campers will go home with lots of drawings in different sizes (9x12 and 12x18).
